The Halıcıoğlu Data Science Institute at UC-San Diego has announced the appointment of Bradley Voytek, a Cognitive Science associate professor with a strong following in science-related social media, as a Faculty Fellow of the pioneering institute. Voytek works with students in Cognitive Science, Neuroscience and Data Science, and is a leader of the neuroscience graduate program as well as the HDSI undergraduate fellowship program.

The University of California San Diego has been named the nation’s fifth best public university, according to U.S. News and World’s Report’s Best Global Universities. The new list measures factors such as research, global and regional reputation; international collaboration; as well as the number of highly-cited papers and doctorates awarded. Overall, UC San Diego was named the 17th best university in the world.
