Anthony  DeMaria


Dr. DeMaria is an expert in the cause, diagnosis and treatment of heart disease in general, and specifically, in state-of-the-art diagnostics such as ultrasound and cardiac imaging.

His research focus is the improvement of noninvasive imaging technologies and he has published widely on this topic.

Along with being the Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, he is past (and youngest ever) president of the American College of Cardiology and of the American Society of Echocardiography. DeMaria is the former host of Cardiology Update on Lifetime Television and is listed in "The Best Doctors in America."

A prolific researcher, he has authored or co-authored more than 350 articles for medical journals and various professional papers in areas of non-invasive techniques, pharmacology, acute myocardial infarction and exercise. He also has served on the editorial board of every major cardiology journal and continues to make seminal contributions towards understanding of cardiac physiology.
