Was a Titan of Astrophysics, Cosmology
San Diego Union-Tribune, Jan. 28 – Renowned scientist Geoffrey Burbidge liked to say that he got into astronomy through his wife. The Burbidges were founding members of UCSD’s department of physics. He came to UCSD in 1962 and was a professor of physics until 2002. Dr. Burbidge died Tuesday at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla after a long illness. He was 84. More
