Two Firms Get Funds for Energy Research
San Diego Union-Tribune, July 12 -- Energy Secretary Steven Chu said Monday that two San Diego  companies have qualified for $2.4 million in federal stimulus grants for “shoot the moon” energy research.  General Atomics will get nearly $2 million to work with UC San Diego to develop a battery big enough to store power for utilities, in which chemicals would flow through cells as power is needed. More
