Is Common Cold Making Your Kid Fat?
CBS News, Sept. 23 -- When it comes to childhood obesity epidemic, the message has been pretty clear: cut the junk food and get the kids outside to move! But there may be a new culprit for your child's portly posterior... the common cold. Researchers at UC San Diego found that obese children were three times more likely to have been exposed to Adenovirus-36 (AD36), a common cause of some colds and respiratory and eye infections, than their thinner pals. Alien Minors Act Could Boost U.S. Military Ranks
