The story behind Torrey Pines miracle

Why we need more Latino scientists and engineers
San Diego Union-Tribune, Opinion, Aug. 13-Eduardo Macagno, the founding dean of UCSD's Division of Biological sciences, is voicing his opinion that California must do a better job at removing barriers for the rapidly growing Latino population who are trying to enter the science and technology industry. To help remedy the problem, he has started a program where students and alumni serve as mentors to Latino students interested in biology.

Plant Gene Discovered to Help Manage Toxic Waste

NIH Fattens Up Lipidomics Research with $35M Grant
