Biologist Studying Little-Understood Black Jellyfish
San Luis Obispo Tribune, Aug. 26 -- Little is known about the extra-large jellyfish, with their striking, blood red color, that have shown up in large numbers off Orange County just three times in the past 16 years. Now, scientists, including from the Birch Aquarium at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography, are working to grow the jellies in tanks. More
