Brown Clouds Are Increasing High Altitude Melting
Wired, Aug. 2 -- Just in case you think global warming isn't bad enough, scientists have concluded that pollution-filled "brown clouds" are pitching in too, helping to accelerate the melting glaciers in the mountains of Asia. The research was led by V. Ramanathan from UCSD's Scripps Institution of Oceanography in La Jolla, California. The team published their results in the latest issue of the journal Nature. More
