Healing Hearts
Today’s Local News, Feb. 21 – Leslie Broch relishes each moment with her daughters. The only indication that Amelia and Sophie’s childhood has been anything but perfectly healthy are the thin scars that run down the middle of their chests. Each girl was born with a heart defect, resulting in two open heart surgeries for Amelia and one for Sophie. The twins were born at the UCSD Medical Center in Hillcrest.

Marine Reserves: Ocean Wilderness in Our Own Backyard
