California's gains in smoke-free laws, only two San Gabriel
Valley cities have passed laws banning smoking in public parks
as another avenue to reduce death and disability from tobacco

a Run
San Diego Union-Tribune, Diane Bell,
Jan. 6-"Jersey Boys" has blossomed into the biggest
hit yet for the La Jolla Playhouse. By the end of its run, it
will have grossed more money than any other production in the
theater's history. After extending the closing date three times
- through Jan. 16 - artistic director Des McAnuff
says the show finally must give way to other UCSD
demands on the campus theater space.

Diego International Dance Festival at UCSD.
