San Diego Union-Tribune, Jan. 30 -- The first meeting of the newly formed California Ocean Science Trust Wednesday at Scripps Institution of Oceanography couldn't have been more timely. Ancient mariner still searches for adventure: Former dive shop owner, 75, remains active undersea
San Diego Union Tribune, Jan. 29 – Profile on Chuck Nicklin, a deep sea diver and co-founder of the San Diego Chapter of the Underwater Photographic Society. SDUPS still meets regularly at Scripps Institution of Oceanography on the fourth Thursday of most months. "The video club and SDUPS will be helping Scripps celebrate their 100th birthday in September," Herb Gruenhagen said.
