Musical Illusions
Science News, June 9 – M.C. Escher's images are optical illusions. A very similar illusion is musical rather then visual. Psychologist Diana Deutsch of UCSD has recently produced an improved version in which the illusion is even stronger. More
Denial-of-service Attacks: Street Crime on the Web
New Scientist, June 9 – Denial-of-Service attacks hit the news in May when the Russian government was accused of attacking Estonian websites, in what was reported as the first ever cyber war. Art Detective Reveals Lost Da Vinci Fresco
