Dr. Seuss Honored With Posthumous Star On Walk Of Fame
NBC News, March 11-Like the fabled Sneetches who were so proud of the stars on their bellies, the late Dr. Seuss now has a star of his own -- on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Thursday's tribute was part of celebrations being held this month in honor of the imaginative doctor's 100th birthday, or "Seussentenial." Other events included the debut of a Postal Service stamp; a series of celebrity book reviews; exhibits of items from the Seuss archives and of Geisel's art; and the unveiling of a Seuss sculpture at the Geisel Library at the University of California, San Diego.
