Enzyme Key to Cheaper RA Drugs, Study
United Press International, March 20 -- Researchers said Monday that they have centered on a certain enzyme that could lead to new and cheaper arthritis drugs. Specifically, scientists at the UCSD School of Medicine said their research represents another step toward a new class of arthritis drugs that depart from most rheumatoid arthritis (RA) therapies and focus on the enzyme p38 MAP kinase, a key player in the body's inflammation process.
