Statins Such as Lipitor May Cause Cognitive Dysfunctions in
Some Patients

mind-boggling. CBS' Sharyl Attkisson has investigated and gives

UCSD Student
Gets OK to Air Beheading Video on Campus Today
San Diego Union-Tribune, May 25-A
University of California San Diego sophomore
has received approval by the school to show a video of the controversial
beheading of American civilian Nicholas Berg this afternoon
on campus. Ariel Mor, a 20-year-old studying political science,
says he views his event as "pro-American" and hopes
it will increase support for American troops. Mor is planning
to show the eight-minute video repeatedly on two 25-inch television
sets in the middle of campus on Library Walk between noon and
3:30 p.m. University officials said yesterday that after considering
the circumstances and the fact that Mor followed campus policy
in reserving the spot on campus, they decided it did not violate
student policy. (Quote by Joseph Watson, vice
chancellor of student affairs at UCSD.)

Above Clouds,
in the Depths, Chipping Away at Unknowns of Climate Change
Associated Press, May 24- More scientific
groups have joined the chorus: Rising temperatures probably
stem from man's "greenhouse" emissions. But clearing
away unknowns remains a challenge. This is the second in a three-part
series on the impact, science and politics of climate change.

Global Warming
Brings Bad Tidings
Star (Malaysia), May 25-The "greenhouse
effect," climate change, has languished on the world's
agenda since the 1970s, a seemingly distant threat. But year
by year, inch by inch, it is rising to the top - as ocean islets
flood, glaciers retreat, Arctic permafrost melts, and leading
voices raise new alarms. (Quote by Walter Munk,
professor emeritus at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.)
