San Diego Union-Tribune, Sept. 12- When UC San Diego Chancellor Robert Dynes succeeds Richard Atkinson as University of California president on Oct. 2, UCSD still will be searching for Dynes' successor. Atkinson and Dynes have pressed for a fast-track process to choose the leader of one of the nation's most respected research universities.
