Local Schools Post Top Marks in State Tests
La Jolla Light, Sept. 9-Teachers and administrators at La Jolla public schools have good reason to pat themselves on the back, thanks to the release of the state's annual Adequate Yearly Progress tests. The Preuss Model School at UCSD was number one in the district, with a score of 845. This small, select institution is particularly notable for its high scores as it is the only school in La Jolla to bus in its students from under-privileged areas of San Diego.
