The
weather down under
San Diego Union Tribune, Oceans Watch, Aug. 28
This edition of Oceans Watch explores oceanic weather systems,
which appear to parallel atmospheric systems. Mentions a Scripps
Institution of Oceanography study by Tim Barnett and
David Pierce that used ocean modeling and global ocean
temperature measurements to determine that ocean warming has been
caused by human activities. (Quotes Scripps researchers
Peter Niiler, Dan Rudnick, Peter Franks and Elizabeth
Venrick).
