Singapore Fills Stem-cell Void Created by
a U.S. Ban
The New York Times, Aug. 16 -- Singapore, notably conservative on most social issues, is emerging as a hotbed for stem cell research, thanks to liberal laws in that field and equally liberal government financing. Brewer, a neuroscientist at UCSD) More

Must See Art
LA Weekly, August 16, 2006 - Few works really stand out in the second part of the two-part exhibition of work from nine Southern California MFA programs, but some that knocked my socks off were the quilted-fabric wall pieces by Stephen J. Remington from UCSD. Shashana Jaffe Chittle’s untitled sculpture has an adolescent feel but it could mature into some great stuff. Chittle also is a UCSD student. More
