13 - Lola Crosswhite became one of the first people to try a new
gene therapy for Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Mark H. Tuszynski,
Dr. Hoi Sang U and Dr. Leon Thal, neuroscientists and doctors
from UCSD and the Veterans Administration Medical Center,
conducted the procedure. The article chronicles the day of her

13 - National University’s endowment ranked highest among San
Diego area colleges and universities with $160 million. UCSD
Foundation has a $154 million endowment. USD has $96 million and
SDSU $59 million.
