Rock of ages
Sydney Morning Herald, July 27 – The most ancient rocks on Earth, dating back 3.7 billion or more years, hold clues to when life first emerged on the planet. An international team led by Scripps Institution of Oceanography professor Gustaf Arrhenius made headlines six years ago by announcing the rocks contained the oldest evidence of life on Earth.
