NASA Plans Mission to Repair Hubble

Brain Cells Give Birds Social Cues
Financial Times, Oct. 27 -- A new study has identified brain cells that affect whether birds of a feather will indeed flock together. The study, conducted by UCSD researchers, found that particular neurons in the medial extended amygdala respond differently to social cues in birds that live in colonies compared with their more solitary cousins. The Kansas City Star, Nov. 1 -- Researchers have discovered the strongest evidence yet that sudden infant death syndrome isn’t caused by an unknown mystery disease, but by a potentially fatal abnormality in brain development.
