Parents Magazine, Sept. 20 -- Many parents believe that their kids will outgrow childhood chubbiness. But a new study, led by a UCSD scientist and published in the September issue of Pediatrics, reveals that a teen's weight problem can be directly tied to his weight as a toddler. More
Scientists Voice Support For Curbing CO2
Chemical Engineering News, Sept. 5 -- On Aug. 31, 18 prominent climate-change researchers filed a brief with the Supreme Court expressing their support for regulating CO2 emissions from motor vehicles in a global warming case that is before the high court. Among the signers are F. Sherwood Rowland and UCSD Professor Mario J. Molina, who shared the 1995 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for their work in atmospheric chemistry. More
UC Mental Health Help Called in Crisis
