Princeton Review Cites UCSD Among
Top 'Best Value' Colleges In Nation

By Pat JaCoby

The Princeton Review has named the University of California, San Diego as one of only 77 institutions nationwide to be selected for inclusion in the first edition of America’s Best Value Colleges.

The book profiles 77 schools the education services company chose for their outstanding academics, low-to-moderate tuition and fees, and generous financial aid packages.

The Princeton Review compiled the list and book based on quantitative and qualitative data it obtained from administrators at over 500 colleges, and surveys of student attending them.

Noted Princeton Review official Robert Franek: “Our methodology was complex. We identified over 30 factors by which we rated colleges in three categories—academics, tuition and tuition-GPA. The 77 schools that met our criteria are all great education deals.”
