The UCSD AIDS Research Institute
In 1996, the ARI was established to coordinate the diverse AIDS research and clinical activities on the UCSD campus.  Housed within the School of Medicine at UCSD, the ARI serves as a regional resource for HIV and AIDS research and information in the San Diego area.  The mission of the ARI includes coordinating and stimulating collaborative scientific research and exchange within the academic community, offering relevant educational and training opportunities in the many areas related to HIV infection, and providing clinical resources and education to the San Diego community.  ARI members strive to halt the spread of HIV/AIDS through cutting-edge research, innovative clinical trials and public education.  For more information about the UCSD ARI, call 858-534-5545.

Being Alive San Diego
Being Alive San Diego is a non-profit organization and service provider that works to enrich and enhance the personal dignity and quality of life of people living with AIDS and HIV through mutual support, access to information, public advocacy and social interaction.  More than 3,000 individuals are assisted each year.  For additional information about Being Alive San Diego, call 619-291-1400.
