The dramatic expansion of the Price center, hub of UC San
Diego’s campus, will be unveiled with a formal dedication
and celebration. Initiated by a student vote in 2003, the Price
Center East addition features 175,000 square feet of expanded space to accommodate a grocery store, 10 study lounges, hair salon, expanded post office, eight new restaurants and other amenities.

Following the formal dedication, the noon to 3 p.m. celebration will include free food, giveaways, music and dance performances and an opportunity to view the newly installed addition to the renowned Stuart Collection of site-specific art.
