Experian CEO To Speak

Experian North America Chief Executive Officer Victor Nichols will speak on “Viewing the Recession Through the Lens of Consumer Data” at 7:30 am Thursday, February 17 at the University of California San Diego Faculty Club. The $50.00 per person cost to attend the Economics Roundtable includes continental breakfast and parking.

Nichols, a 1978 graduate of UC San Diego, became Chief Executive Officer of Experian North America in January.

Prior to his appointment Nichols was chief executive officer United Kingdom and Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA) and leader of Experian’s marketing services practice globally.  He joined Experian in early 2007 with 27 years of experience in the fields of finance and technology. 

Nichols was previously chief information officer for Wells Fargo & Company and also served as chief executive officer of VICOR, a company delivering advanced corporate management solutions and electronic delivery services globally.

Nichols holds a Master’s of Business Administration in Finance from UC Berkeley and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the UC San Diego.

Future 2010 Economics Roundtable speakers include UC Berkeley Professor of Economics Barry Eichengreen on April 22, UC San Diego Professor of Economics Mark Jacobsen on July 22 and University of Maryland Professor of Economics Carmen Reinhart on October 20.
