UCSD Extension is
extremely pleased to announce prize-winning investigative
reporter Lowell Bergman, (The New York Times, PBS
Frontline, and CBS 60 Minutes) who will speak on Wednesday,
March 30th, 7:00-8:30 p.m., as part of UCSD’s Revelle
Forum at The Neurosciences Institute, a series of lectures
and public interviews with leading figures from the worlds
of arts and culture, current events, and the media. In conversation
with UCSD Professor of History Michael A. Bernstein, Bergman
will discuss his famed exposés of Big Tobacco, the
Enron scandal, politics, big business and the changing role
of contemporary television journalism, as well as his experiences
at UC San Diego in the late 1960s as a graduate student under
Herbert Marcuse. Admission to this event is $35 per person.
