By Pat JaCoby

The Muir Musical Ensemble, the only completely student produced musical theater event on the University of California, San Diego campus, will present Company, written by George Furth with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, at 8 p.m. April 8-10 in Mandeville Auditorium.

Company is the story of Robert, a confirmed bachelor on the cusp of his 35th birthday, and the five married couples that permeate every aspect of his life. Told in a series of a-linear vignettes, the show is about love and marriage in 1970’s New York City.

This year’s production is directed by Muir senior Matt Test and is comprised of a production team of about 20, a cast of 14 and an orchestra of 35.

Tickets are $6 for students, $7 for staff and $8 for general admission and are available at the UCSD Box Office, the Muir College Center and at the door.
