University Of California President Robert Dynes
To Hold 'Town Hall' Meeting At UCSD January 24

By Pat JaCoby

Current issues concerning the University of California will be discussed by UC President Robert C. Dynes when he holds a Town Hall meeting for UCSD faculty, staff and students at 2 p.m. Jan. 24 in Price Center Ballroom B.

The UCSD visit is in the last in a series of official visitations Dynes has made to the 10 UC campuses since his inauguration last year.

In the open meeting Dynes will discuss topics ranging from the budget to admissions to how UC keeps California competitive, and take questions from the floor.

Also on his schedule for the visit are meetings with editors of the San Diego Union-Tribune and The UCSD Guardian; a tour of the new Cancer Center slated to open in April, and an alumni reception.
