President Jimmy Carter Will Speak at UCSD on Friday, June 23

Former President Jimmy Carter will speak on the UCSD campus, Friday afternoon, June 23, addressing an invited audience of 350 persons on topics relating to international health and other activities of the Carter Center. Carter, winner of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2002, has directed wide-ranging array of philanthropic activities since he left the White House in 1980.

Also on the program are Peter Cowhey, dean of the Graduate School of International Relations/Pacific Studies, the UCSD host for President Carter; John Moores, a member of the Board of Regents of the University of California and recently named Chair of the Carter Center; and Chancellor Marye Anne Fox.
