UCSD-TV Prepares San Diego
Voters With Election Coverage

California’s statewide election is less than a month away and California voters will soon decide the direction our state – and county - will take. To prepare for Election Day, University of California, San Diego Television (UCSD-TV) presents two programs to help voters make an informed decision, “Onward to Where: Your Votes will Tell” and “The Body Politic: Election 2006.”

“Onward to Where: Your Votes Will Tell” features veteran journalist Neil Morgan. Morgan offers his sharp and seasoned insights into the issues affecting San Diego on the eve of the November 2006 election. Scott Lewis of Voice of San Diego joins Morgan in this second installment of "Onward to Where?" the conversation series about the future of the San Diego region sponsored by the UCSD Helen Edison Lecture Series and voiceofsandiego.org. This program airs Sunday, October 16th at 8:30pm and repeats throughout the month. Additional times and dates can be found on-line at www.ucsd.tv.

On “Body Politic: Election 2006,” host Michael Bernstein and guests preview the November 2006 ballot with a look at the advisory vote for a joint-use airport at Miramar and the option of an off-shore airport being floated by Scripps oceanographer Walter Munk and Frieder Seible, the dean of the Jacobs School of Engineering at UCSD. This program premieres October 23rd at 8 p.m. and airs throughout the month.
