ROSE FOUNDATION
ESTABLISHES SCHOLARSHIPS FOR UCSD UNDERGRADUATES
The University of California,
San Diego, today announced that The Rose Foundation, formed by Pamela
and Martin Wygod, of Rancho Santa Fe, has established new scholarship
programs for UCSD undergraduates.
The Dr. A.R. Moossa
Scholarship, named in honor of the chair of the UCSD Surgery
Department, will award four-year scholarships to pre-medical students.
A second scholarship, The Rose Foundation Scholarship, provides
four-year funds for an undergraduate student from San Diego or
Imperial County high schools. Students receiving scholarship funds
will show evidence of financial need, will attend UCSD full-time, and
will be in good academic standing.
"We feel very strongly
about the importance of education," said Pamela Wygod. "We
know and trust that each student who receives one of these
scholarships will have a decidedly better chance in life and will make
a positive difference in our community."

scholarship, or any UCSD scholarship programs, contact the UCSD
department of student affairs, 858-822-4343. |
