Free Sunday Afternoon Tours of UCSD Offered This Summer

San Diego area residents
and visitors can enjoy free Sunday afternoon tours at the University
of California, San Diego. A friendly volunteer guide will lead
you on a tour of this beautiful campus and provide information
on the history and unique features of UCSD.
Free general overview
tours, by mini-van or walking, are offered Sundays at
2 p.m. leaving from the South Gilman Information Pavilion on
campus.
Mini-van tours are
90 minutes in length which allows guests to see selected pieces
of the Stuart Collection of outdoor sculpture found throughout
the campus, a short stop at Thornton Hospital and another stop
at the Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
These mini-van tours are offered the first and third Sundays
of each month.
Walking tours also
are 90 minutes in length, leading you through the heart of the
campus to view and discuss some of the undergraduate schools
of choice at UCSD, the Price Center, Bookstore, as well as seeing
selected pieces of the Stuart Collection of outdoor sculpture.
Walking tours are offered on alternate Sundays from the Mini-Van
tours.
Special group tours
can be arranged by request. Wheelchair accessibility is available
upon request. Parking is free on weekends. Please phone (858)
