7 WORKSHOP TELLS PARENTS HOW TO KEEP Want
to keep your child’s mind academically sharp over summer vacation? Attend a
free workshop for middle school and high school parents on Saturday, July 7 to
get information on how to keep young students motivated for school and on
track for college. The
event, titled College Prep Survival: What Every Parent Should Know, will be
held from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Malcolm X Public Library (Multipurpose
Room), 5148 Market Street, San Diego, one block from the Euclid Avenue trolley
stop. Parents are encouraged to attend with their children. The workshop is sponsored by the University of California, San Diego, in partnership with the California Student Opportunity Access Program (Cal-SOAP). Featured

workshop will also include Spanish translation, free food, on-site child care,
