UCSD VETERANS ASSOCIATION TO HOLD
4th ANNUAL RECOGNITION CEREMONY NOV. 6

Congresswoman Susan Davis will be the keynote speaker when the Veterans Association at the University of California, San Diego holds its 4th annual Veterans Recognition Ceremony Nov. 6 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in UCSD’s new Natural Sciences Building, first floor conference room. The event is open to the public.

The UCSD Veterans Association will recognize the sacrifices made by U.S. Armed Forces veterans in defense of the United States of America and their contributions benefiting the University of California community. In addition to keynote speaker Davis, honored guests include Chaplain Richard Bonnette from the USS Tarawa and Corporal Eddie Shinn, UCSD Veteran of the Year.

Established in April 2001, the Veterans Association at UCSD provides information, resources, and ongoing support for the men and women who serve, or have served, the United States while in the armed forces. Past events include participation in San Diego’s Veterans Day Parade, a Memorial Day visit to the VA Hospital’s terminal patients, the annual UCSD All Staff Picnic, and previous veterans recognition ceremonies and events.
