Ride4AIDS To Benefit UCSD
Research And Being Alive San Diego

“Ride4AIDS,”
a one-day HIV/AIDS-benefit bike ride along San Diego’s
scenic waterfront will be held Sunday morning, April 3, 2005.
Proceeds from the ride will go to the University of California,
San Diego (UCSD) AIDS Research Institute (ARI) and to Being
Alive San Diego, a non-profit support and service organization
for people living with HIV/AIDS.

Participants are offered
three options with three different starting times:
The 10-mile flat route
starts at 9 a.m. from Spanish Landing and Harbor Island to Seaport
Village and back. The 25-mile route, starting at 8 a.m., includes
the 10-mile route with the addition of a hilly bike loop up
to the Cabrillo National Monument and back. The 50-mile route,
starting at 7 a.m., includes mixed terrain as cyclists travel
to Cabrillo National Monument, Mission Bay, up to the UCSD/Torrey
Pines area and back.
Fees for the bike ride
are $25 for 10 miles, $30 for 25 miles, and $35 for 50 miles.
Riders age 8 to 17 years old pay a flat fee of $15 and riders
on tandem bikes pay $10.
