Stroke Prevention Lecture 

Christy M. Jackson, M.D., and Patrick Lyden, M.D., both Neurosciences, will present a free public lecture entitled, "New Options for Stroke Prevention and Treatment" at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20. The lecture will be held in Garren Auditorium, Basic Science Building, UCSD School of Medicine campus, La Jolla.

It is part of The Sam and Rose Stein Institute for Research on Aging's (SIRA) 2000 Public Lecture Series. Established in 1983 at the UCSD School of Medicine, SIRA's purpose is to advance lifelong health and independence for people in their later years through programs in education, research and patient care. It's one of the few centers in the country studying the genetics and biology of aging. For information, call (858) 534-6299.
