Stem Cell Initiative Subject Of Roundtable At UCSD, April 14

One of the leading figures associated with the California stem cell research initiative, Dr. John C. Reed, President of the Burnham Institute, will address the University of California Economics Roundtable on April 14.

Dr. Reed, a member of the Board directing plans to implement the initiative, calls the work “the most promising medical research frontier for the 21st Century.” His Roundtable topic is “$3 Billion for Stem Cell Research: Proposition 71 and the California Biotech Industry.”

The Economics Roundtable is open to the public and the $50 per person charge includes continental breakfast and parking. The event gets underway at 7:30 a. m. at the Faculty Club on the UCSD campus. To register call (858) 822-0510 or email emunk@ucsd.edu.
