BANK OF AMERICA PRESIDENT LIAM MCGEE TO DISCUSS CALIFORNIA ECONOMY AT FEB. 13 UCSD ECONOMICS ROUNDTABLE

Liam McGee, president of Bank of America California, will share his insights on the future of the California economy with guests at the UCSD Economics Roundtable on Feb. 13. The breakfast event will be held at 7:30 a.m. at the University of California, San Diego Faculty Club.

McGee, who served two terms on the board of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco and is an alumnus of the University of San Diego, is chief executive of California’s largest bank. In addition to overseeing nearly 40,000 associates, he is responsible for more than $185 billion in loans and deposits and a statewide delivery network that includes 960 banking centers and 5,000 ATM’s.

McGee joined Bank of America in 1990 and was named to his current position in August of last year. Prior to that, he served as president of the bank’s Southern California division. He serves on the boards of the Orange County Performing Arts Center, the University of San Diego, and UCLA’s Anderson School of Management, and is also a member of the board and past chairman of Junior Achievement of Southern California. A native of Ireland, McGee holds a BA degree from the University of San Diego, an MBA. from Pepperdine University, and a JD from Loyola Law School.
