Explained:

UC San Diego News provides access to a wide range of FREE UCSD-related digital audio and video content via the iTunes Music Store, Apple's popular music jukebox and online music store. Here is where you can find and download the FREE iTunes player. There are many ways to subscribe to a podcast, but iTunes is preferred.

How do I get started?

If you are using iTunes, simply open the program and point your cursor over the "advanced" tab (see image above). Now go down to the option "Subscribe to Podcast." The "Subscribe to Podcast" window will pop up. Copy the URL into that area and click "ok" (see image below).

You can copy and paste this url:
http://ucsdnews.ucsd.edu/podcast/podcast.xml into a reader to subscribe.

Now that you have subscribed to your podcast you need to click on the "Podcast" link on the left under Library. All your podcasts will be stored right there to listen to or watch anytime. Keep in mind that you do not need itunes to listen to podcast's but it is highly recommended.
