UC San Diego Ranked Top College for Return on Investment

In a new college affordability ranking, the University of California, San Diego has been named the 6th best college in California for its return on investment for graduates. On average, UC San Diego alumni enter the workforce earning an estimated $48,400 per year after graduation, positioning the university among the most financially effective of all California post-secondary schools.

This distinction comes from a new metric created by The College Database, a free, non commercial website aimed to provide current and future post-secondary students and their families with accurate and valuable college and career related information.

Schools on The College Database’s best return on investment list have annual tuition rates below $20,000 and new graduates who earn more than $40,000 per year, on average.

UC San Diego has been consistently lauded for its affordability and the high earnings of its alumni. Kiplinger’s Personal Finance magazine recently ranked UC San Diego the 10th best value public university in the nation based on cost and financial aid, average student debt, competitiveness, graduation rates and academic support.

In addition, UC San Diego was named one of the nation’s “best value” colleges and universities by The Princeton Review for its academics, cost and financial aid.
