Daniel Yankelovich, Public Opinion Expert and UC San Diego Supporter, Has Died

Nationally renowned public opinion expert Daniel Yankelovich spent more than six decades monitoring social change and public opinion. He also left a legacy of supporting research at the University of California San Diego, aimed at improving how people live. Yankelovich died on September 22 at home in La Jolla. He was 92. Research Town Hall Meetings to be held
October 12

The Office of Research Affairs is holding three informational Research Town Hall Meetings on October 12. The meetings, which will be scheduled throughout the day in three different campus locations, will allow UC San Diego academics to hear updates on the federal research budget, new regulations in federal agencies that impact researchers, and new opportunities from state and federal agencies for research funding and training grants. Additionally, there will be a Q&A session at each Town Hall for faculty to ask questions, raise issues and concerns, and provide feedback about their respective research priorities.
