People Expo Offers Opportunity
to Explore Personal and Professional Growth

Follow the blue, orange and green balloons on June 16 to People Expo at the Price Center. Set in neighborhoods around the theme, "connecting the UCSD community with career, professional development and work/life opportunities," the event will feature a wide variety of resources, programs and services to support UCSD staff and faculty.

Start the morning with a free continental breakfast in the Price Center Courtyard before making your way into the theatre for the keynote address at 10 a.m.. Kikanza Nuri Robins, a consultant for more than 20 years on issues of diversity and leadership, will share an engaging and enlightening presentation on "Making Room at the Table." From 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., visit the Price Center Ballroom to speak with exhibitors, attend a mini-session or watch a video.

Attendees are welcome to explore the Careers, Employee Support, Career Development, Quality of Work/Life and Wellness, Benefits, Learning and Professional Development, and Blink neighborhoods and talk with staff and presenters who will be on hand to answer your questions and provide information and guidance.

In addition to the booth activities, 45-minute workshops will cover topics such as:

. Building Cohesive Teams in Busy Times
. Managing Stress and Bringing Vitality to the Workplace
. Interviewing Skills: Effectively Promoting Yourself
. Demystifying the UC Retirement Plans
. Environmental Safeguarding: Think Local and Act Local
. Saving Jobs with Speech Recognition Software

Fifteen-minute mini-sessions will give quick glimpse into the following:

. Understanding the Internal Recruitment Program
. Incredibly Fun Library Happenings
. Acupuncture
. What's a Nursing Mother to Do?
