Keep a watchful eye out for special T-shirt messengers highlighting the Top Ten Reasons to Love UCSD during the Chancellor's 5K Run/Walk for Scholars event on Friday — and you could win great prizes, including American Airline tickets, brunch for two at Estancia La Jolla Hotel and Spa, and more. Would you like to own one of these fashionable T-shirts? Sign up to be one of 50 race participants to wear a Top Ten Reasons to Love UCSD T-shirt during the event and it’s yours to keep. Just send your name, daytime phone number and email address to lmargoni@ucsd.edu before noon on Thursday, October 19. If you’re one of the first to sign up, you will be notified. You must be a registered participant in the Chancellor’s Challenge to wear one of the Top Ten Reasons shirts.
In appreciation of faculty and staff support of the 5K as part of UCSD’s $1 billion fundraising effort, The Campaign for UCSD: Imagine What's Next, UCSD employees registered for the 5K will receive a commemorative “Help Take Us over the Top” Faculty-Staff Campaign pin.
Haven’t registered yet? There’s still time to pre-register to run or walk in this year’s Chancellor’s Challenge, but you must act soon. Registration for students is $10 in advance, $15 day of event.
