gas when a pedestrian steps into your path or to bite your tongue
mid-sentence when the subject of gossip suddenly comes into view,
may depend on a few “cables” in the brain.

Sorry, Tree
By Eileen Myles
Sexy, cool and uncompromising -— these qualities secure
Eileen Myles' eminence as America's most fearless poet. Myles'
trademark punk sensibility and intimate knowledge of poetic
tradition are at work in this eighth collection where every
love poem is political and every political poem is, ultimately,
about love. Myles has written and published more than twenty
books of poetry, prose, plays, and libretti, including "Skies,"
"Cool for You," "School of Fish" and "Not Me."
