UCSD Community Takes Part in AIDS Walk
A total of 70 people signed up to be part of UCSD's team for the AIDS Walk 2007. A few ran; some turned out with their children; one brought his dog. In all, they raised $13,135. Here Chancellor Marye Anne Fox poses with Shaun Travers, director of UCSD's LGBT Resource Center.

Business Affairs departments vied during a friendly softball tournament this week at Warren Field. Eight teams showed off their skills and human resources came out on top Friday, defeating facilities management. Here Assistant Police Chief J. Dyer hits for a triple play during one of the tournament's first games Monday.
Students Turn Out
to Support Burmese Protesters
About a dozen students and other members of the UCSD community marched on Library Walk Friday to show their support for the uprising against the military junta ruling Myanmar, also known as the former Burma.
Fair Trade, Free Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream
Students gave away free Ben and Jerry's fair trade ice cream Friday on Library Walk to celebrate Fair Trade Month. Fair trade products come with a guarantee that farmers have earned a living wage, workers have used environmentally friendly techniques and no child or forced labor was involved. More events will follow this month, including film screenings, a debate and a bake off.
