Students, staff and faculty from across the campus gathered outside of Geisel Library on Nov. 19 to participate in a GPS to GIS Scavenger Hunt being organized by the GIS Lab at the Social Sciences & Humanities Library to increase campus awareness of the powerful capabilities and accessibility of GIS technology.

The event was part of GIS Day, a global event held to showcase the technology of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and demonstrate real-world applications that are making a difference in our society.
