GIS Coordinator Tracey Hughes showed participants the fundamental techniques for using GPS navigation devices. She explained how latitude and longitude play a key role in satelite navigation. After the participants discovered all of the Scavenger Hunt locations, Hughes demonstrated how to download the GPS data in GIS and provided them with an image of the route they took around the course.
