Armed with clues and a GPS navigation device, postdoctoral fellows Luz Arias (left) and Gabriela Torres from the Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies, find their first of four Scavenger Hunt locations. Torres indicates her familiarity with the Social Sciences & Humanities Library’s GIS lab in Geisel Library. In her research, she uses GIS to study and map the distribution of human populations in rural Mexico.
